This photograph was taken at one of my favorite places on earth, the Greek island of Mykonos.

Karen and I were having an evening cocktail on the balcony of a restaurant when the sun slipped below the horizon, creating that colorful background for the little sailing boat in the harbor.

The photo turned out so well that my sister-in-law, who is an artist, painted a watercolor of the photo. It now hangs on the wall in my study.

I have no idea if I will ever return to Mykonos, but every time I look at the painting (or the photo), I am transported back to the Aegean Sea and I can’t help but smile.
