With twenty-seven years of police experience, Anita Dickason has an unending source for the mysteries embedded in her books.
In an interview, Anita was asked how much of her was in her books. The answer was “OMG—a whole lot.” Incidents and characters are based on her extensive law enforcement knowledge and experience, starting with the serial killer in the debut Tracker novel: Sentinels of the Night. And with twenty-seven years of police experience, she has an unending source for her books.
Anita is a retired Dallas Police Department police officer. She served as a patrol officer, undercover narcotics officer, advanced accident investigator, tactical officer and the first female sniper on the Dallas Swat Team.
Her fictional novels are suspense/thrillers. Characters with unexpected skills, that extra edge for overcoming danger and adversity, have always intrigued her. In the Tracker novels, she sets up a team of elite FBI agents. Each has an unusual ability.
Her infatuation with ancient myths and legends of Native American Indians and Scottish and Irish folklore adds a touch of paranormal for the backdrop of her characters.
Her first book, JFK Assassination Eyewitness: Rush to Conspiracy, is non-fiction. The book details her reconstruction of a 1966 vehicle accident near Midlothian, Texas that killed a key witness to the Kennedy assassination.

The past becomes a deadly future.
When Tori Winters becomes the star witness in a murder trial, someone tries to kill her. Terrified, she’s not giving the killer a second chance. After all, who would look for her in a small, quaint Texas town?
Instead, Tori’s life is about to spin into an existence where nothing is as it seems. The historic house she inherits is steeped in secrets from the past. Secrets that may prove deadly. She’s a stranger in a strange town. Who can she trust? There is the disinherited step-grandson and the lawyer and his son. What are they hiding?
Tori’s inheritance may not be a blessing when a killer strikes again. It could be her death warrant.
Following a tactical raid at an Oklahoma farm, a phone call sends U.S. Deputy Marshal Piper McKay rushing back to the East Texas cattle ranch where she grew up.
Her grandmother, Jennie Layton, is near death from a crushed skull. When local authorities claim the cause of the injury was an accident, Piper isn’t convinced.
Who wants Jennie dead? Is the reason connected to a dubious contract Piper finds in Jennie’s desk?
Piper realizes her grandmother isn’t the only one in danger when she barely escapes a deadly attack. Thrust into the middle of a high-stakes, high-risk shell game, Piper has become the target.
The case takes a bizarre turn when Piper unknowingly crosses paths with a Special Ranger. If he can’t derail her investigation, it could cost him his life.
With millions of dollars on the line, nothing will stop a ring of cold-blooded killers, including the murders of a U.S. Marshal and a Special Ranger.
The Feds gold-backed currency’s imminent launch triggers more than ruthless protests when Frank Littleton finds an ominous note in his coat pocket. The cryptic message is a warning someone plans to assassinate him. He slips away from his security team to contact the one person he can trust, the head of the FBI Tracker Unit.
For Scott Fleming, the clandestine meeting in the middle of the night leaves him holding a political time bomb. How does he keep the Federal Reserve Chairman, the 2nd most powerful man in the government, from getting killed?
When another bizarre message, along with a baffling set of bank reports is sent to the Tracker office, the urgency to find answers intensifies.
Written in a code used by Navajo Code Talkers in World War II, is the message a communique from the dead? Who sent it? Why are the bank reports important?
A new Tracker agent and financial crimes expert joins forces with an undercover Interpol agent to infiltrate the inner sanctum of the Federal Reserve. The case turns deadly when the agents become the target for an assassin’s bullet.
Stalked by a killer, can they survive to stop the assassination and prevent a global financial cataclysm?
