It’s that time of the year again when The New Kindle Book Review is running its Best Indie Books of the Year awards. Top five finalists for the 2013 awards in various genres were announced September 1, 2013. In keeping with our tradition established last year in the first year of the awards, we have asked each of the finalists who care to participate to provide us two pieces: a dream interview and a dream review. Although the dream interviews will appear under my byline, the posts are the work of the finalist authors. We hope you enjoy them and use them as an introduction to the works of these fine writers. Stacy Green’s Tin God is a Top 5 Finalist for the Mystery/Thriller category.
Stacy Green’s Dream Review of Tin God

Stacy Green’s TIN GOD is a powerfully written suspense thriller that grabs you from the first page and doesn’t let go until the very end.
TIN GOD is set in the fictional town of Roselea, Mississippi, and the reader is immediately immersed in the small, historic southern town. We can feel the heat of the sun and smell the sweetness of the summer magnolia blossoms as we follow heroine Jaymee Ballard. She’s lost her child to an illegal adoption and is willing to do whatever it takes to find her stolen daughter.
Well plotted and fast-paced, TIN GOD goes beyond a great thriller. Green’s characterizations put the reader firmly in her heroine and hero’s shoes, making them feel each character’s depth and vulnerability as both struggle to solve the mystery and salvage their own tattered lives. Their motivations are carefully woven into the fabric of the plot, and as the mystery builds, her characters rise to the challenge.
A master storyteller, Green’s distinct style and authentic voice lends to her character’s charm, giving the reader no choice but to follow the twists and turns until the truth is revealed. And, like any good mystery writer, the final twist is a delicious surprise without making the reader feel tricked or shortchanged.
TIN GOD is a must read in what will be a stellar mystery series!
