Does Your Mystery Novel Have the Best Cover Design? We Want to Find Out.
December 12, 2012
Caleb Pirtle III
It’s my fault.
I thought we were ready to launch a new Caleb and Linda Pirtle Contest in mid-November, searching for the best cover designs of 2012 for Indie Mystery Novels.
There are some great ones out there.
I’ve seen them.
On Twitter.
On blogs.
On emails.
On Amazon and other eRetailers.
But at Caleb and Linda Pirtle, we wanted to find the best one. We are beginning with the Mystery Novel genre. Then, as next year rolls on, we will be looking for the best Indie cover design for:
Romance Novels.
Science Fiction Novels.
Fantasy Novels.
Historical Novels.
Paranormal Novels.
Our good friend at Digital Book Today, Anthony Wessel, is working with us to make sure that we do indeed find and select the best Indie Mystery Book cover.
And we’re just getting started.
I was ready to go last month.
But, alas, as I am prone to do, I jumped the gun.
We weren’t quite as prepared as I had hoped we were.
And I’m asking you to forgive me.
WE ARE STILL SEARCHING FOR THE BEST COVER DESIGN FOR A MYSTERY NOVEL.
WE ARE HOLDING THE CONTEST OPEN FOR ANOTHER MONTH.
THE NEW DEADLINE IS JANUARY 30.
We are giving you extra time and expanding the deadline because we know that the holidays slow everything and everyone down.
Time runs out on us all.
We don’t want to rush you.
We want you to get it right.
TO ENTER, SEND AN IMAGE OF YOUR MYSTERY NOVEL TO caleb@calebandlindapirtle.com.
With your entry, let us know which category best describes your novel: police procedural, hard-boiled or noir, cozy mysteries, detective, legal, medical, suspense, romantic suspense, private eye, crime, or caper.
Also, be sure to provide the name of the art director or designer who created your cover, even if you did it yourself.
ENTER NOW BEFORE THE HOLIDAYS SLOW YOU DOWN EVEN MORE. OR ENTER IN EARLY JANUARY WHEN YOU DIG OUT FROM UNDER THE HOLIDAYS.
But we do want to see your novel design.
We do want you to show the world what you already know.
YOUR MYSTERY NOVEL’S COVER IS A WINNER.
