Daily Review: Title Wave by Lorna Barrett

Murder on a pleasure cruise featuring mystery authors, destined for Bermuda.
Tricia and Angelica leave Booktown behind for a pleasure cruise, but they’re going to need their life jackets because a murderer has also booked passage—in Lorna Barrett’s New York Times bestselling series.
While her bookstore, Haven’t Got a Clue, is rebuilt following a devastating fire, Tricia Miles and her sister, Angelica, decide to book a cruise for some much needed R&R. Naturally, they choose a Mystery Lovers cruise, where they can ponder whodunnit in deck chairs while sipping colorful drinks and soaking up some rays.
But the fun is cut short when a fellow passenger is murdered for real. Is the killer a famous mystery author, one of his fans, or a member of the ship’s crew? As Tricia tries to find the killer before they reach port, she may be cruising for a bruising…
Wonderful written Cruise vacation, with a who-dun-it atmosphere. Lorna Barrett has again thrilled us with a great mystery. I felt like I was on the ship, did not want to put the book down.
Tricia and Angela rubbing shoulders with Authors, eating fine food, finally Tricia gives up on the healthy food and delves into scrumptious cuisine, made my mouth water, and the drinks sounded delicious.
Of course, Tricia gets involved in a murder, but not a spoiler, so will not expound on that. After sailing to Bermuda, warm sunshine then going back home to SNOW! Such a letdown.
Ahoy, Mateys! Trisha and the whole Stoneham crew of friends set sail on a pleasure cruise featuring mystery authors, destined for Bermuda. It doesn’t take long, however, for a body to turn up, found by none other than Trisha.
When the ship’s security does not seem eager to pursue the case, Tricia investigates. Personal surprises are in store for Trisha during the course of her investigation, and she and Angelica bond in a new and special way.
This is an especially well-plotted installment of the series, and I highly recommend it.

As always, I love my visits to Stoneham, New Hampshire, but this time the gang is onboard the Celtic Lady cruise ship headed to Bermuda. And what would a Booktown mystery be without Tricia finding a body, and yes even at sea there someone is murdered and when it appears that no one is looking into, our girl is on the case.
I like this book. The mystery was well-developed and I liked that there was a whole ship of people who could have wanted the victim dead and it was fun breaking it down to where there was only one person responsible. Every character played a pivotal role in the telling of this tale and I especially love the interaction between the two sisters.
The journey of self-discovery was a good one for Tricia and helped me understand her better as the author gave us a chance to delve into the family dynamics. That was an added bonus for me. All in all, this was a very good read and I especially loved how it ended and I can’t wait to see what the author has in mind with that unexpected arrival.
