A fantastic story of teamwork, friendship, myth and legends.

Imagine a world where soldiers regenerate and continue fighting without pause, and where suicide bombers live to strike again. This is the dream of Richard Ridley, founder of Manifold Genetics, and he has discovered the key to eternal life: an ancient artifact buried beneath a Greek inscribed stone in the Peruvian desert.

When Manifold steals the artifact and abducts archaeologist Dr. George Pierce, the United States Special Forces Delta operative, Jack Sigler, callsign King, and his Chess Team: Queen, Knight, Rook, Bishop, and their handler, Deep Blue give chase.

They must save Pierce and stop Manifold before they change the face of genetics – and human history – forever.

What an excellent story! I loved this fast paced techno thriller and can’t wait to continue the series. I have already listened to two of the books further along in the series so it is nice to start at the beginning and fill in some of the blanks.

I love the character development in this story and the science mixed with mythology that went along with it. The audio version was excellent and I enjoyed listening.

I loved this book! From the historical background and creativity of the story. It was so riveting. The closer I got to the end the more I realized I couldn’t shut it off. I was riveted. Now I can’t wait to start the next book!
Jeffrey kafer is so fun to listen to.

I’ve listened to several other audio book performers. I believe for me Jeffrey’s the truest sounding voice as to how I would read it if it were my own voice reading over this amazing story.

A fantastic story of teamwork, friendship, myth and legends. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat, unable to turn off until the end and still wanting more.

Every time I hear a book narrated by Jeffrey Kafer I think it is his best work and this was no different, he is awesome.
