Most young girls and those who enjoy reading historic romance novels imagine what it would be like to find themselves transported back in time to castles, lairds, danger, and love at first sight. Do You Love Scottish time travel, sexy Scots, romance, and mystery? Love Beyond Time will make you laugh and cry and leave you eager for more.

It began nearly 400 years ago. The Conall clan and all their people were murdered in a surprise attack, their beloved castle and all evidence of who destroyed them burned to the ground with their bodies. In the centuries following, archaeologists searched through the ruins, looking for any evidence of what or who had caused the untimely demise of such a powerful Scottish clan.

All efforts were fruitless until a spell put in place by an ancient Conall ancestor finally began to work its magic.

Texas kindergarten teacher Brielle Montgomery finds comfort in the mundane routines of her life, but when her archaeologist mother asks her to accompany her on a dig in Scotland, she decides to step out of her comfort zone. Once in Scotland they discover a secret spell room below the castle ruins, and Bri finds herself transported back in time and suddenly married to the castle’s ill-fated laird.

Now she must work to change the fate of his people, all while trying to find a way to return to her home and century. But with each passing day, Bri finds herself falling more deeply in love with her new husband. If she can find a spell to bring her home, will she use it? If she stays, will it ultimately mean her own death as well?

Most young girls and those who enjoy reading historic romance novels imagine what it would be like to find themselves transported back in time to castles, lairds, danger, and love at first sight. It’s something we all store in a deep recess of our hearts. Bethany Claire has captured that fantasy in real time.

Brielle Montgomery, a happy but bored teacher and the daughter of a world famous archaeologist, is drawn into the history and mystery of the decimation of an entire clan in Scotland. Brielle discovers a secret spell room in the ruins of Conall Castle and finds herself transported back in time through the centuries and thrust into the life and arms of Eoin Conall. Everyone keeps calling her Blair.

Fortunately for Brielle the household maid knows the secret left by the family witch and is quick to inform her of the spell and of what the repercussions will be if she fails to act as Blair.

Bethany Claire has written this first in a trilogy with the promise of characters that will entice, grow, surprise, love, battle, learn, and do whatever must be done to save the clan in the past and in the future. It is rare that a debut novel would earn a five star review and I hesitated to give it but I couldn’t find a reason not to give it. I believe this young author will become an award winning force to be reckoned with in the romance reading and writing community.

    Review by Jamie Durham:

As a third generation English teacher, it’s safe to say, I’ve read some books. This, however, was my first true time travel novel to read. Actually, to say it’s a time travel novel isn’t exactly accurate. This novel is a beautiful love story that happens to occur due to a time travel situation.

For me, a book has to make sense. The romance, the relationships, the progression of the plot all completely make sense from beginning to end. I forgot I was reading a book and felt transported into another time and place; which is why we really read fiction, isn’t it?

By the end, I felt that I knew the characters and I felt their joys and sorrows right along with them. I never once felt that I wish the pace would pick up or that the author had created situations that were cheesy or contrived. It just works! It works so well, that I am starting Book 2 of the series tonight.
