What a beautifully emotional story! Bo, little Ella, and Morgan are probably my favorite blended family characters ever! This book was so powerful. No child comprehends being given away, taken away, left, or abandoned.

It’s never their fault, but they don’t understand that. Ella is a treasure. I love her! Bo gets thrown into the deep end without knowing how to swim. He makes big mistakes like any other person might in that position, but damn if he didn’t fix it all in a big way!!

Morgan pulled at my heart. Those that want desperately to have children of their own but can’t…..I bleed for them. Finding a child who lost a parent and needs that childless person, is joyous. Such a heartwarming book!

Hidden Gifts is by Elena Aitken. It is a Castle Lodge Mountain romance. Some of the characters continue from the previous book but others do not. It is a sweet romance and easy to read.

Bo Clancy has arrived at Castle Mountain Lodge needing to talk to Carmen immediately. His dilemma cannot wait. He even rudely interrupts her conversation with a beautiful lady whom he antagonizes. He knows Carmen doesn’t really like him but now he has another lady to dislike him. His luck is running bad.

He confronts Carmen with his need for a suite for just a short time. He is supposed to be housed in the employee rooms but he has a definite need for the change. The last 48 hours have changed his life. He is a father with a four year old girl he did not know existed. He knows the situation is only temporary or is it?

Morgan Pierce went to college to become a child psychologist. However, now she does not want to work with children. She worked for a while with Andi Williams at Party Hearty but needs a change. She has signed on to work at Castle Lodge for the summer. She could do the party planning without a problem. However, she finds herself in the Cub’s Club instead. She agrees to take it for one day since there is only one little girl enrolled. Then she will make a decision whether to stay or go somewhere else. Of course, the little girl, Ella, is Bo’s daughter and Morgan makes headway in just a few minutes to unlock the grief and fear the little girl is feeling. Will Morgan stay and help Ella, even though she dislikes Bo?
