Review by Amy’s Bookshelf Reviews:
Eoghan Egan writes a thrilling tale with Hiding in Plain Sight. I haven’t read anything by this author before, and what a hidden gem. I enjoyed it so much, that I have now followed the author and look for more books to read.
This book is part of the Ganestown Crime Series, and this is volume one. From the start, this narrative is extremely action packed, and thrilling. It’s right there. The killer getting away with murder in a small town.
He’s just an ordinary businessman, right? Looking for the perfect victim for his perfected perfect crime, or at least that’s what he thinks. He’s searching the Irish-Midlands, which, if you don’t know, is a region covered by the counties of Laois, Offaly,
Westmeath and Longford, in Ireland. The reader is not just introduced to the killer, but also Sharona, who is investigating an art scam, and not realizing she is on the killer’s radar.
Sharona is a tenacious and determined to discover the truth, even if it kills her. This is one of those books that grabs you from the start and pulls you in.
Absolutely chilling, with death around every corner. Whatever this author writes, I want to read. It’s absolutely breathtaking!
