A Fall of Water by Elizabeth Hunter
There is romance, and love, heartbreak and sorrow. Quite frankly it will bring tears to your eyes and a tug at your heart.
Still grieving from their loss in the far East, Giovanni Vecchio and Beatrice De Novo discover that for them, all roads really do lead to Rome. But nothing is quite as it seems in the Eternal City.
Joined by Carwyn and Tenzin, unexpected clashes greet them almost immediately, and rivalries churn beneath the glittering facade of the old Roman court. They quickly realize that allies might be enemies, and ancient rivals could hold the key to a deadly secret.
Giovanni and Beatrice will be forced to call on old alliances, ancient powers, and fierce cunning to survive for the eternity they both desire. Sometimes, finding the end means going back to the beginning.
Fire, Earth, Wind, and Water finally meet with devastating results in the conclusion of the Elemental Mysteries.
Review by Think About This:
After losing her father and becoming a vampire, this story has a slow start with Beatrice adjusting to her new existence. It does get better though, when Gio gets a summons to go to Rome.
All heck breaks loose when Lorenzo makes another appearance and the ultimate evil step mother joins the story. Gio and Beatrice’s love story grows stronger and stronger, as all the allies from previous books and some new ones join forces to put an end to mystery of the secret formula, that could kill them all.
Review by TNT 05:
I enjoy reading especially paranormal novels in my down time. Usually they are okay to say the least. Ms. Hunter’s writing and plot story line pulls you in from the first installment of Hidden Fire to the last installment A Fall of Water. Beatrice and Giovanni became my comrades and I enjoyed Carwyn and Tenzin
Characters as well. No spoilers here but if you are looking for a love story with action and adventure all over the world with just enough mystery to keep you intrigued read this series! Not really big on cliff hangers requesting you to purchase additional works but this one is worth the few dollars.
Review by Lisa:
This series is a delightful treat! After reading the first book I just couldn’t stop…I had to know more. I was hooked after the first couple chapters. Every character is so well put together you get to KNOW them and love them-even developing a love/hate relationship with the “bad guys”.
The story is unique and well played and you become entrapped in this world that Elizabeth Hunter has created. There is mystery to keep you sitting at the edge of to your seat throughout the series. There is romance, and love, heartbreak and sorrow. Quite frankly it will bring tears to your eyes and a tug at your heart.
I am not one to spoil the story or ‘re-write the summary, however I recommend this series highly as a well written enthralling story that any fiction reader could love! With the added bonus of romantic and hot steamy vampires…what’s not to love!
