The Book: This Time Forever
The Author: Patricia Paris
The Story: Delaney Brannigan and Blake Morrison met at the Cedar Cove annual costume dance, known only to each other as the leopard and the cowboy
But, as Delaney soon discovers, the cowboy she’d thought had ridden off into the sunset, never to tempt her again, is none other than the man she came to Cedar Cove to find and discredit – the man she’s falling hopelessly in love with.
Review: “Well, I’m not one for romance, but This Time Forever was a very delightful surprise! Took it on vacation and finished it in two days.
“The characters, Blake and Delaney are well developed and believable. And the love scenes. . .nothing erotic, just wholesome foreplay that is fresh and genuine.
“Can’t wait to read A Murderous Game. Take a bow, Patricia!”
Review: “I love this book. The characters and their story pulled me in at the turn of the first page.
“I am not typically a reader of romance, but decided to buy this book on the recommendation of a friend. I loved Delaney and Blake’s story. The characters were well developed and drew me in.
“I find myself missing them now that I have finished the book. This book has a depth to the story that I have not found in the typical romance novel.
“I am anxiously awaiting another book by this author. More please.”
Review: “Set in a cozy New England town, this story serves up all the qualities of a good read. Delaney comes to the quiet coastal community claiming to be on a culinary mission, but she’s actually searching Blake’s heart for answers on the behalf of another.
“When Blake meets Delaney, it seems like “such a perfect fit. Like a piece the piece that fit his in an intricate puzzle”. Little does he know that the beautiful, red-haired Delaney has come to his hometown to undo what he searches for. Romantic interest turns to turmoil when Delaney’s motives are revealed. In the end, only one thing can bring the two back together.
This Time Forever has all the ingredients of a classic romance. It is a beautifully written romance with the perfect touch of spice. Readers are certain to fall in love with Delaney and Blake the moment they meet them.”
The Book: Waiting for Mary Elizabeth
The Author: Regina Puckett
The Story: Love is a promise kept… Gregory is a world renown artist, drop-dead gorgeous and sincerely believes a promise should never be broken.
At the age of twelve he promises to wait for four year old Mary Elizabeth to grow up. Every day of his life since then has revolved around keeping that promise. Now the time has finally arrived to discover if she still wants to marry him.
While Mary Elizabeth doesn’t believe in fairy tales, she believes in Gregory. Her parents keep insisting he won’t come for her, but she knows he will. At four years of age her young heart recognized the person it belonged to.
But just when she believes her perfect future is coming true, a spiteful adversary causes her to doubt Gregory’s sincerity. Now the future doesn’t seem quite so bright or certain.
Gregory and Mary Elizabeth will have to overcome many obstacles in order to stop waiting and to finally begin living and loving.
Review: “This is without a doubt one of the best books I have ever read. The very descriptive beginning starts a journey through a couple of young peoples early understanding of caring respect for another human being they did not even know. A promise was made between a 4 year old girl and a 12 year old boy.
“Skip ahead a few years and they see each other a couple of more times.
“Skip ahead about 20 years and they see each other again. This is when the beauty begins.
“Well I don’t want to ruin this story by giving too much away, just let me say it had me cheering for both of these young people and their families who always stuck with them.
“If you want a very encouraging story to consume a few hours of your time that will leave you feeling pretty good, this is the story for you.
“My only problem with this book, which unfortunately is a big one, it is over too soon!”
Review: “Do you believe in keeping promises? Do you believe in everlasting love? Waiting for Mary Elizabeth is a treat for believers in love and promises. This contemporary romance delves into the hearts, minds, and every day events of its characters so well that you feel as if you know them through and through.
“The author weaves a romantic and wholesome tale that moves along easily like a lazy Sunday afternoon. I read this book slowly, savoring the easy pace of life in the South.
“At Mary Elizabeth’s request, young Gregory makes a promise that no one believes he will keep. We watch Mary Elizabeth grow and wonder if she’ll ever recognize the boundless love she holds in her hands. “Through his life, his thriving success and travels, Gregory never forgets the promise he made to a lost child on a dark night during his childhood.
“Waiting For Mary Elizabeth is an everlasting romance you will not want to miss.”
